Roles

Roles are a way to control the actions a user can perform. For example, if a user has read-only access (Reader Role) they may log-in and view anything within the system. They cannot make any modifications.

There are 3 defined roles built into Vol-Track. They are:

• Reader – Can only view information.
• Contributor – May submit hours and edit their own information.
• Administrator – Not restricted in any way.

Roles allows the group to control who can make changes, enter information, or view information.

Note: The roles support has not been integrated into the Security Add-On as for this release.
