An editor is used to edit or browse information and support the concepts of open, save, and close. All editors will be displayed within the editor area of the workbench.
Whenever a modification is made within the editor, the item is marked as dirty. When an editor becomes dirty, the save action will become enabled (menu and toolbar) and the title of the editor will add an asterisk to the beginning of the title. This signifies that the file has changes that have not yet been saved.
Closing an editor can be done using the close X in the title tab of the editor.
It may also be closed using the menu or toolbar close actions.
