View : Agency List

The Agency List is a view that shows a complete list of agencies that have been added to the system.

The Agency List view is designed to support the user's ability to manage the agencies. This includes the ability to locate agencies so they can be modified or deleted. Filtering of the agency list is also supported.

By default, the Agency List will be displayed on the left side of the workbench just below the Volunteer List. If it has been closed or is not open select the menu: Windows -> Agency List.

Now that the Agency List is visible, it may be used to perform actions on the available agencies.

The Agency List view is a sorted list of agencies showing their names. The top bar of the window contains a set of buttons (Edit and Delete) and a menu. A context menu (A menu that appears when right clicking on the Agency List area) is also provided.

As mentioned, the list view allows Editing and Deleting of agencies. By default, when nothing is selected, the Edit and Delete actions (menu, context menu, and toolbar buttons) are disabled (grayed out). Select an agency by clicking (single click) on the agency's name. The actions will now be enabled.

To edit an agency use the following steps:

1. Single click on the agency to be modified.
2. Perform one of the following:
1. Click the button.
2. Select the view's menu -> Edit Agency.
3. Right click and select Edit Agency.
4. Press the Enter key.
5. Double click on the agency name.
3. The editor should now appear for the selected agency. See the Agency Editor section for details.

To delete an Agency use the following steps:

1. Single click on the agency to be deleted.
2. Perform one of the following:
1. Click the button.
2. Select the view's menu -> Delete Agency.
3. Right click and select Delete Agency.
4. Press the Delete key.
3. Select OK in the confirmation dialog.

   WARNING: After deletion is complete this agency and all associated data (hours) will be removed. There is no way to undo this action.

4. The Agency is now deleted.
