Wizard : Create Volunteer

Volunteers are the resources who make up the Group. A wizard has been added to create new Volunteers.

To begin, select one of the following:

Selecting one of these commands will open the Create Volunteer wizard.

To setup a new volunteer, perform the following steps:

  1. Enter the first and last name of the volunteer in the appropriate fields. These two values are required.
  2. Enter any other desired information in the fields provided.
  3. If this volunteer should also have a user account created, then make sure the 'Should the volunteer have a user account?' question is checked. Uncheck it if a user account should NOT be created.
  4. Click 'Next'.
    Note: If a user account is not going to be created and detailed volunteer information is not required, 'Finish' may be pressed at this point to complete the volunteer creation.
  5. On the next page, enter details about the volunteer as desired. All fields are optional.
    Note: Volunteer Status is defaulted to the Active state.
  6. If 'create user account' was checked then click 'Next'. Otherwise press 'Finish'.
  7. If creating a user account then enter the login name for this user.
  8. Select the role for this user.
  9. Enter the password and confirm the password in the next two fields.
  10. Press 'Finish'.
  11. The Wizard will close and the new volunteer will appear in the Volunteer List view.
